As part of the Litter-Free RI Cleanup/Beautification initiative sponsored by the Office of the Lieutenant Governor, Friends of Island Cemetery is hosting a cemetery clean-up day. The focus of the clean-up is to remove litter,  leaves, and debris from the fence line  bordering the cemetery along Farewell Street and Van Zandt Avenue. Gloves and rakes will be supplied as well as water and refreshments.
